BRAZED SEAMS
All terminals and connectors are of silver solder brazed seam construction.
The brazed terminal will not open during or after crimping (it will
not split at the seam). Brazed seam terminals can be crimped on
any part of the barrel, even on the seam, without compromising crimp
quality. Brazed seam terminals are available in all wire sizes. |

ONE-PIECE
CONSTRUCTION
All terminals and connectors are made from 99% pure low oxygen electrolytic
copper. They are fabricated from one piece of copper, which provides
for burr-free design and maximum strength and conductivity. Annealing
of the copper ensures a free flow of the metal during crimping.
This is essential for a perfect crimp. Male and female disconnects
are constructed of brass due to the functional requirements of these
units. |

CHAMFERED-EDGE
BARREL
The barrel edges are chamfered to funnel any frayed strands together
as the wire is inserted, providing faster and easier production.
The feature is especially important on non-insulated terminals and
connectors. |

NYLON/VINYL
INSULATIONS
High-quality vinyl and/or nylon insulation jackets are firmly bonded
to the barrel. All insulations are color-coded to industry standards,
providing quick and easy identification. Vinyl-insulated terminals
are rated at 750C (1680F), 600 volts max.
Nylon-insulated terminals are rated at 1050C (220F),
600 volts max. |

METAL SUPPORT
SLEEVE
Nylon terminals with metal support sleeve feature an extra metal
sleeve inside the nylon jacket. This sleeve serves as a wire insulation
grip which locks the wire insulation to the terminal, thereby resisting
vibration and bending. This feature allows the wire to withstand
much greater vibration and flexing before breaking than does the
non-sleeved terminal type. |
